In the presented research study, the effect of yogic exercises on the emotional intelligence level of visually impaired students was studied. To fulfill the objective, 30 blind students were selected with the objective sampling method from the Visually and Hearing Impaired School in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh. The participants were made to practise the daily yogic package 50 minutes including Pragya Yoga Exercise, Nadi Shodhan Pranayama, Om chanting and Nadayoga Sadhana for 3 months. The 'Emotional Intelligence Scale' developed by Singh and Shruti Narayan was used to measure emotional intelligence level. In this research 'single group pre-post test detection design' was used. The obtained data were analyzed by the t-test statistical method. The value obtained from the statistical analysis was found to be significant at the 0.01 level. The result shows that yogic practice increased the emotional intelligence level of visually impaired students. This leads to the conclusion that yogic exercises have a positive impact on the emotional intelligence level of visually impaired students.
