DSIIJ is a research journal of the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (University) and is published by the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Press. DSIIJ is a quality-conscious, peer reviewed journal, published biannually in print form. The online publication of the journal is also being initiated, to be published simultaneously with the print form with a view to disseminate research information at a faster pace and across new frontiers. The editorial board comprises of the reputed experts from around the globe. The journal maintains a rigorous editorial process of peer review to ensure quality and originality. DSIIJ provides an international forum for interdisciplinary research relating to the indigenous knowledge.
Interdisciplinary research is a mode of research by teams/individuals that integrates information, data, tools & techniques, perspectives, concepts, and/or theories from two or more disciplines or bodies of specialized knowledge to advance fundamental understanding or to solve problems whose solutions are beyond the scope of a single discipline/area of research practice. Interdisciplinary research can be one of the most productive and inspiring of human pursuits- one that provides a format for conversations and connections that lead to new knowledge.
The basic aim of DSIIJ is to provide a platform for the researchers, innovators, scholars, experts, educators & students to share their views, new trends, ideas & innovations through it. It is a peer-reviewed journal aiming to communicate high quality of original research work, reviews, case studies that contribute significantly to further the scientific & indigenous knowledge related to their field. As a policy, the preference will be given to the articles containing issues which are relevant, timely, bring forth newer ideas and are of general interest. The journal strives to ensure a comprehensive coverage of all subjects related to the indigenous knowledge.
We are keenly aware of the painstaking efforts that need to be made in this area, for developing critical rethinking, the potential, the means and the limits of dialogue between Science and Indigenous knowledge, for achieving a balanced synthesis. The objective of the DSIIJ is to provide a wider platform for disseminating and sharing results of scholarly studies in the relevant areas in pursuit of furtherance of science. DSIIJ encourages and welcomes scholarly works that focus on theories, research, and applications related to the indigenous knowledge. The journal also aims to facilitate the gathering and critical testing of insights and viewpoints on relevant knowledge from different disciplines relating to indigenous knowledge. The articles containing critical reviews of the research on the same theme shall also be considered for publication.
The editors of DSIIJ welcome qualitative, quantitative, theoretical, and concept-based research articles. The editors are committed to a fair review of all submitted articles based on the following criteria: the importance and timeliness of the issue, the clarity and compatibility of the purpose, the design of the study, the soundness of methodology, and readability and flow of the material.
